Tricia Pridemore
Commissioner Tricia Pridemore was elected to the Georgia Public Service Commission in 2018 and unanimously elected Chairman by her fellow Commissioners in July 2021. A respected figure in regulatory leadership, she previously chaired the Commission’s Telecommunications Committee, addressing key issues like rural broadband, and continues to shape policy on pipeline safety, energy infrastructure, and clean, reliable generation including nuclear, solar, natural gas, and American coal.
She currently serves as President of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) for the 2024–2025 term and holds leadership positions on several influential national boards:
- National Petroleum Council
- Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Advisory Board
- Gas Technology Institute (GTI) Public Interest Advisory Council
- New Mexico State University Center for Public Utilities Advisory Council
- Critical Consumer Issues Forum (CCIF) Executive Committee
She is also Past Chair and current Vice Chair of the Financial Research Institute (FRI) at the University of Missouri. In 2020, she was appointed to the U.S. Department of Energy/NARUC Natural Gas Partnership, supporting progress on emerging energy solutions.
With a strong background in technology, consulting, and workforce development, Commissioner Pridemore has served on the Georgia World Congress Center Board of Governors, the Cobb Galleria Authority Board, and was a key member of Governor Brian Kemp’s 2019 Transition Team and Governor Nathan Deal’s 2011 Transition Team. She also co-chaired both of Governor Deal’s Inaugural Committees in 2011 and 2015.

Commissioner Pridemore earned a bachelor’s degree from Kennesaw State University. She and her husband, Michael, live in Marietta, Georgia, and are active members of Mount Paran Church in Atlanta.
